About the Author 作者简介
Shannon Murray’s first book was written for her own son who has ADHD. The story won last year’s Lucy Maud Montgomery PEI Children’s Literature Award in the Prince Edward Island Literary Awards. Shannon is professor of English at the University of Prince Edward Island where she teaches Renaissance Literature, Drama, and Children’s Literature. A past director of UPEI’s Teaching Centre, she was awarded the prestigious 3M Teaching Fellow in 2001. Shannon grew up in Halifax and now lives in Prince Edward Island with her husband and two children. A graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Doretta Groenendyk delights in the colours, lines, and stories around her. Ideas float in, pictures dance, and the colours sparkle in her whimsical paintings that can be found in galleries throughout the Maritimes. Doretta is a recipient of Nova Scotia Arts Council Arts-Infusion and Presentation grants. She paints, illustrates, writes, and teaches art with her husband and three children on a small spot of land in Canning, in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Doretta is the illustrator of the children’s book Fiddles and Spoons.
