During a casual conversation about New Year"s resolutions, Kathryn Heling and Deborah Hembrook discovered they shared a common dream--writing for children. Their Level 1 early reader, Mouse"s Hide and Seek Words (Random House 2003) was named a 2004 Oppenheim Toy Portfolio gold award book. Kathryn is an elementary school psychologist and when she"s not writing she can be found cooking, sewing, or golfing. Deborah is a kindergarten teacher, a volunteer at the Humane Society, and an avid Harley motorcyclist.
