A member of MYSTERY WRITERS OF AMERICA, Eva Batonne is a dedicated author and editor. Her novel, RESURRECTION DIVA, features Joan Lambert, a female detective working Robbery/Homicide Special Section in Los Angeles. MIXO-MATIC, Eva’s first short story, has won both Publisher’s Choice and Editor’s Choice award from two different publications and will be featured in the mystery anthology, TECHNO NOIR, a work that she co-edited with Jeffrey Marks. Eva began as a playwright and then a journalist writing for BRENTWOOD NEWS, VENICE ART MAGAZINE and other publications. She found she had an affinity for research and landed a position as the researcher for a small production company in Santa Monica. The position evolved into writer/producer on the project, THE SHAPING OF AMERICA, a series of historical spots on American history. A forerunner to the popular Ken Burns style of dramatic portrayals of historical figures and events, THE SHAPING OF AMERICA, featured narrators, Sally Kellerman, Robert Guillaume, and Dennis Weaver and was voted Favorite Series.
