W. J. Maryson"s (Wim Stolk) books are published in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Latvia, Bulgaria and Poland. His short stories span the world, also appearing in anthologies in Germany, France, Russia and the US. His musical wanderings with the band Maryson have also been released worldwide. His third book in the Unmagician series, Lord of the Depths, won the Elf Fantasy Award for best fantasy novel of 2004. With his short story "Nietzsche Station" he won the prestigious 2007 Paul Harland Award. Currently, Wim spends most of his time, besides making preparations for the recording of a third CD, writing a new fantasy series called The Great Legend.
